2) You will see a Security
Alert window as shown at right. Click Yes
(the
certificate appears because your site does not share the same
security certificate as the server, but you are entering the server
securely.
Please note:
Internet Explorer 7 displays this security window as a full page
worldwide security catastrophe, so if you're faint of heart, you
can avoid seeing this alert by entering your CPanel without
encryption at
http://yourdomain.com:2082

Next you will be prompted for your CPanel User name
and Password.
Enter them as shown below:
4) If you have entered the correct username and password, you will
now see your Control Panel, which allows access to email management
(as well as other features).
Click "Manage
Accounts" under the email panel:
5) Now you will enter the account management
console for email as shown below.
From this area it is very easy to add, delete or forward email using the
links provided:
* Tip: when adding a new account, you must select a password for security
purposes
(Make sure that you scroll down to the
bottom of the panel to use the "Add Account" link for creating new
addresses)
6) After creating your accounts, you could check mail by entering
the site in the same manner as above, then selecting
Read Webmail
and you will be able to select from two easy web mail services (similar
to AOL and like providers).
Or you can configure a local mail client like Outlook or Outlook Express
which comes standard with most PCs. To do so, make sure you local mail
client is closed, then click the
Configure Mail Client
link to the far left of the email address
that you wish to set up. You'll see a screen that looks like this:
We recommend and support the use of
POP3, due to the reduced overhead of disc space for your hosting
account. Customers may select IMAP, but if large attachments exceed
your disc space allocation, there may be a fee charged for deleting
files on the mailserver to free up disc space. A good reference
explaining the difference between the two access methods can be found
here.
7) Just select your preferred client and
access method, and follow the detailed instructions, then when finished,
open your mail client to test the settings by sending yourself an email.
