Medicines--Cool Little Blair Pharmacy - NOT Whitall Tatum

Here's a great go-with for anyone fortunate enough to have acquired the iron pontil H. C. Blair citrate or "drug store" form from the same address (note the long spelling of Philly on both). I have seen two of the pontiled Blair cylinders offered at major auction houses over the years and have been outbid on both. I have added pics of one of them. I am offering the little medicine only. There is some blotchy inside stain, but considering that cleaning it would cost more than the purchase price ... Anyway, the embossing is sunk into a more deeply recessed panel than usual and the base is plain (the vast majority of this style is W.T.). I'd call it an early tooled top and date it between 1885 and 1893. Three generations of H.C. Blairs were principles of the same business concern at the same address for many years. About 5 inches tall and no scratches, dings or nicks.
