Of the 9 Rapp variants I have listed, this is the only ten pin. Sent in by Adam Woodward and described as a "flattened" ten pin form, it could be one of Rapp's earliest bottles (1843) and extremely rare. What is striking about this one is the tiny horizontal arched Dyottville embossing at the neck combined with the vertcally embossed big letters. If only it was whole. I strongly suspect that it would have had a tapered top, as Rapp disappears from NYC directories before 1850. See # 1738 in the APS database for full description.
DECEMBER UPDATE: I almost died when yet another MINT, UNLISTED RAPP variant showed up at Hecklers later this month. Note the same small Dyottville embossing on the shoulder. Norman estimated $300 to $600 and it hit $1300. An exciting bottle!
