Featured Soda--Unlisted Variant - NY Pontiled Soda

The blue WEBSTER on the right in the first pic is one that Andy Goldfrank dug a few weekends ago. An unlisted variant of a known bottler, marked "R. B. WEBSTER / NY" in a faint slug plate. Nice, medium blue blob with iron pontil ! Good example of a shape closer to a pony than a soda, as seen in the pic sitting next to porters, a pony and one deep blue early soda. Probably, the same WEBSTER as the WARING - WEBSTER sided New Yorkers, there is a known squat XXX PORTER & ALE, and the smooth based one (like the one in the 1st pic at left) may have had an IP example, but I can't verify that. Will be added in the next APS update--thanks to Andy !
