| This BROWN & CO. soda appeared on Ebay in 2005, and I had not added it to the APS due to it's not having been described as pontiled. Unfortunately, it's not a great pic, but you can see that the embossing is within that same "chamfored panel" as the pontiled LOMAX's. Anyway, the recently auctioned ($17,500) MASURY'S, also with the same panel convention and whopping iron pontil, reminded me of this style. I'm adding pictures of all three. The Brown, if pontiled, would be a rare one, which leads me to wonder if it's a LOMAX competititor from Chicago. I have a pontiled, sided, cobalt C. W. BROWN & Co. from Portsmouth, Ohio (my closest match)--maybe Paul Welko would know?
