They sent a spreadsheet showing that all unecessary insurance premiums were refunded, then they send a letter saying that the 606.78 is a result of a non-refunded insurance premium. Step right up ladies and gentlemen--can you find the pea in the moving shell? Then they have the audacity to request that proof of insurance be proven for May 27 through August 15 2007. Sorry, I already did that. My insurance company already did that, I was tired of doing it when this first started and I'm not doing it again. Harassing lenders every four months to prove 4 months of coverage at some point in a year policy paid in full is one of the things that HSBC is known to do. How can this company be allowed to perpetuate this scam? They must have some data that proves that if a customer is smart and starts getting fed up, their best shot at screwing them is selling the note and tacking on a premium on the way out. SCAM. HSBC scams customers every day.
