Opinions and Commentary--Ebay's Hidden Bidder Identity Policy - NOT

Ebay's new policy of hiding bidder ID's started about a month ago. I thought the public outrage would have convinced them to discontinue this bad idea by now, but in the spirit of good old American capitalism, eBay has traded integrity for profit. We've known for years that second chance offers are usually bogus--nobody uses them anymore--so why try to pawn this off as the excuse for hiding bidder identity? Pretty weak, eBay! Everyone knows you're really just helping shill bidders run prices up to collect higher final value fees. As an honest bidder, my eBay identity (and it's 100% positive feedbacks) is now worthless, since all credibility in eBay is lost. But to a dishonest, shill bidder it's quite valuable. So I'm thinking about auctioning it--after all, I'll have no further use for it, and will have to start over with whatever online auction steps up to bring honesty and integrity back into the game. I'll give "ePay" one more month to "reflect and correct" before dumping it. eBay has foiled many scams and outside attacks over the years, but they failed to protect themselves from within on this one.
